What VelaClip is
VelaClip is a local-first Mac app that turns long-form church services, sermons, and teaching into thoughtful short-form content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and more.
It combines transcription, sermon-aware moment selection, speaker-aware reframing, captions, branding, editing, rendering, and repurposing in one workflow. AI handles production work; the ministry team stays in control of the message.
Runs on Mac
Core media work stays on-device.
Privacy by design
No default upload of source media.
Church-aware
Built around sermons and ministry workflows.
02 / Why it exists
The problem it solves
Churches create hours of valuable teaching every week, but turning that footage into consistent digital content usually requires an editor, several subscriptions, and a lot of manual review.
Generic clipping tools can optimize for attention while missing the pastoral context. VelaClip is designed to help teams publish more consistently without flattening the message, losing the speaker’s intent, or giving up control of sensitive recordings.
- Finds moments that can stand alone without distorting the speaker’s meaning.
- Preserves real editing control instead of producing an irreversible black-box result.
- Makes captions, hooks, covers, music, and branding repeatable across a ministry.
- Keeps local workflows free from per-clip processing anxiety and forced watermarks.

How it works
Import a service
Bring in a local recording or a supported public video link.
Transcribe and understand
Create a local, word-timed transcript with church vocabulary and sermon-aware analysis.
Review the moments
Choose self-contained clips, refine titles and hooks, and keep the final editorial say.
Edit and brand
Adjust the timeline, captions, crop, audio, b-roll, motion, covers, and church identity.
Export a week of content
Render platform-ready video, SRT captions, post copy, and reusable content assets.
04 / Trust
Privacy model
VelaClip is local-first by design. The default workflow keeps source video and audio, local file imports, transcription, vision processing, timeline edits, rendering, exports, queues, and project files on the Mac.
When a user explicitly enables a connected service, transcript text or structured edit context may leave the Mac for that service. Account activation, updates, and optional cloud features also use network services. VelaClip does not need to upload the full source video for its core local workflow.
The short version
Your church’s recordings stay on your Mac unless your team deliberately turns on a connected feature.
05 / Audience
Who VelaClip is for
VelaClip is for church media teams, pastors, volunteers, communications directors, and ministry leaders who want a sustainable content rhythm without hiring a full-time editor or handing every recording to a third-party platform.
It is especially useful for teams working with sermon series, testimonies, devotionals, youth ministry, events, multilingual ministry, and multi-campus content. It is a poor fit for teams that need a browser-only editor, do not use macOS, or want fully autonomous publishing with no review step.
