About VelaClip

Churches already create meaningful content every week. We're building a better way to help it travel further.

VelaClip is a local-first Mac app being built to help churches turn sermons, stories, and ministry moments into content that keeps reaching people throughout the week.

A church can spend hours creating a sermon — then post it once and move on.

Every week, churches record messages full of teaching, stories, encouragement, scripture, testimony, and moments worth revisiting. But turning those recordings into short-form content often requires time, editing skill, expensive software, or an overloaded volunteer.

Editing takes too long

Volunteers and staff often work with limited time.

Generic clip tools miss context

A “viral moment” is not always a faithful representation of the message.

Church language is specialized

Scripture references, biblical names, ministry terms, and sermon structure matter.

Long archives are hard to reuse

Years of messages become difficult to search and repurpose.

Privacy matters

Churches should have more control over where sermon media is processed.

Most of it disappears after one Sunday.

A sermon is not just another podcast episode.

Generic AI editors can find energetic moments, but churches need more than energy. Context, message integrity, scripture, speaker intent, and ministry workflow all matter.

Generic clip tool
  • Finds engagement
  • Optimizes for virality
  • Treats every transcript similarly
  • Uses generic stock media
  • Has limited church context

We're building VelaClip for the gap between a Sunday service and the rest of the week.

The goal is not to replace pastors, communications teams, or creative judgment. The goal is to remove the repetitive work that keeps meaningful content from being shared.

repetitive weekly work

Planned

Not more AI for the sake of AI. Better workflows for real ministry teams.

Principle 1

Local first when possible

Core workflows should run on the user's Mac whenever practical.

Principle 2

Human review stays important

AI suggestions should be reviewable, editable, and reversible.

Principle 3

Context matters

A short clip should not distort the message it came from.

Principle 4

Church-specific beats generic

Scripture, testimony, prayer, sermon structure, and ministry language deserve dedicated intelligence.

Coming Soon
  • Scripture Intelligence
  • Testimony detection
Principle 5

Automation should earn trust

Recurring workflows should come after the product can reliably explain, preview, and reverse what it changes.

Your church's message should not have to leave your Mac just to become a clip.

VelaClip is designed around local-first processing. Core workflows can run on your machine, while optional cloud-powered features should always be clearly identified.

More control

Keep more of the workflow on your own device.

Faster iteration

Local workflows can reduce unnecessary upload cycles.

Clearer privacy boundaries

Optional cloud features should be explicit.

Better cost model

Local compute should not feel like arbitrary credit burn.

The long-term goal is bigger than clipping.

We're building toward a content operating system for church messages — one that can understand sermons, help edit them, remember the archive, and automate repetitive work.

What we believe should guide the product.

Useful before impressive

The product should save time before it tries to look magical.

Honest about availability

Planned features should be marked Coming Soon until they ship.

Local before cloud when practical

Keep more processing under the user's control.

Review before automation

AI actions should be inspectable and reversible.

Built for church context

Ministry workflows deserve dedicated product thinking.

Respect the message

Editing should not distort the intent of the speaker.

Built from a real obsession with better content workflows.

VelaClip is being developed by a product builder and creator who has spent years working with video, AI tools, automation, and creator workflows — and saw a clear opportunity to build something more specific for churches.

VelaClip grew from a broader interest in making complex creative workflows simpler. After working with creator tools, automation systems, local AI, and video workflows, the opportunity became clear: churches produce meaningful long-form content every week, but most tools are not designed around how ministry teams actually work.

Founder, VelaClip

Product builder and creator focused on AI, automation, and practical software workflows.

We'd rather mark something Coming Soon than pretend it already exists.

VelaClip is actively evolving. Some of the most ambitious sermon intelligence, automation, archive search, and team capabilities are still in development.
