Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 5, 2026

This page is maintained by the VelaClip team to describe how personal data is handled on our website and in the VelaClip Mac app. It is written in plain language and is not intended as legal advice.

Local-first by design

VelaClip is a local-first Mac desktop application. Your sermon recordings, transcripts, generated clips, and church branding assets are processed and stored on your own Mac. VelaClip does not upload your service recordings to our servers as part of its core workflow.

Optional features that require a third-party service (for example, AI-assisted clip selection using your own Claude or ChatGPT account) are always clearly identified in the app. When you use them, data is sent directly from your Mac to the provider you chose, under their terms.

What we collect on this website

  • Early-access sign-ups. If you request early access, we collect the email address, role, and optional church name you submit so we can contact you about the beta.
  • Contact messages. If you contact us through the site, we receive the details you send so we can reply.
  • Basic request data. Our hosting provider logs standard request information (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and reliability.

How we use this information

We use the information above to respond to your requests, send early-access communications you signed up for, and keep the site running securely. We do not sell personal data.

Cookies and analytics

The website uses only the cookies required for the site to function. If we add analytics or marketing cookies in the future, this page will be updated first.
