This page explains what cookies and similar storage velaclip.com uses, what runs only after you opt in, and how to change your choice at any time.

Strictly necessary

These are always on because the site would not work without them. They keep you signed in when you use your account, remember your cookie preference, and protect the site from abuse. They do not track you across other sites.

  • Session & auth (Supabase). Keeps you signed into your VelaClip account.
  • Cookie preference. Browser storage remembers your separate analytics and marketing choices. The analytics choice is also stored in a cookie.

Analytics — opt-in only

We use two analytics tools: PostHog (product analytics, served through our own domain) and Usermaven. Cookies are opt-in only. If you accept, both may use cookies so we can understand usage across visits. If you decline, Usermaven is never loaded and PostHog runs in cookieless mode — visits are counted anonymously with no cookies, no browser storage, and no cross-visit identity.

  • What they see: pages viewed, clicks, referring site, coarse device info.
  • What they do not see: your form contents, sermon media, or passwords. If you create an account, PostHog associates activity with your account id and email so we can support you.
  • You can change your mind at any time using the button below.

Marketing — opt-in only

With your marketing permission, we load the Meta Pixel (ID 1117194027638986). It shares page visits, page URLs, and browser information with Meta to measure Facebook and Instagram advertising and support remarketing. Meta may use cookies such as _fbp and _fbc to associate visits with ads. Marketing is off by default and is separate from analytics. Existing analytics permission does not enable Meta. You can withdraw marketing permission in cookie preferences; we stop sending page views and remove these first-party Meta cookies. Without JavaScript, the pixel does not run because we cannot obtain this choice.

The Mac app

VelaClip is a local-first Mac app. It does not use browser cookies. See our privacy policy for how the app handles your data.
