Compare VelaClip

VelaClip and Opus Clip both help turn long videos into short clips. The important difference for a church is where the work happens and how much context the workflow preserves.

Descript is a broad collaborative editor built around media and transcripts. VelaClip is narrower by design: it helps churches move from a Sunday service to reviewed social content on a Mac.

Submagic focuses on fast, caption-led social content. VelaClip focuses on helping a church find, shape, and approve moments from a longer sermon without losing pastoral context.

VelaClip and SermonShots both help churches turn a Sunday sermon into shareable content. The important difference is where the work happens, how much of the workflow stays on your Mac, and whether you want a clips-first path or a broader ministry content suite.
